People discuss all sorts of health topics on Twitter, but recently there’s been quite a bit of tweeting regarding long term care and long term care insurance. Today we stumbled…sorry, twumbled…across a link to a recent article about a study on long term care insurance. What caught us by surprise though was the Twitterer claiming that, based on this article, long term care insurance doesn’t cover nursing home insurance. This isn’t true. Long term care insurance does cover nursing home stays. The article in question was simply claiming that a larger percentage of LTCI claims are going towards assisted-living facilities, at home care or skilled nursing home care.
Moral of the story…the internet is an invaluable way to do research. Just make sure to double check everything you’re reading on the internet.
