Curt Horowitz, founder of LTC Connects, has over a decade of experience in the long-term care (LTC) insurance industry. He began his career with General Electric (now Genworth Financial), after which he began to work as an independent broker because he wanted to be able to offer clients the freedom to purchase from among all of the top LTC carriers (a freedom "captive" agents who work for a specific company do not enjoy).
The desire to work in the best interest of his clients is what drove Curt to develop LTC Connects. In 2000 Curt began recognizing the power of the Internet to transform the education process of long term care insurance. People were becoming more comfortable researching and transacting business online, but the LTC insurance industry was not keeping up with this trend. People were no longer interested in meeting with a stranger in their homes and sitting through a high-pressure sales pitch, yet the industry continued to conduct business in this manner.
Curt has spent the past 7 years developing a process by which consumers can gather information online and through an interactive telephone and Internet consultation. He has successfully created a partnership of some of the country's most experienced long term care insurance specialists.
